Spyros Vassiliou & Associates LLC is currently seeking to recruit a Junior Corporate Lawyer to join our law firm in Nicosia.
Qualifications:-
- At least 2 years of experience at a law firm or an administrative service provider in its corporate law department;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB);
- Cyprus Bar Association qualified;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English;
- Strong administrative and organizational skills;
- Strong team orientation, ability to work collaboratively within a team;
- Character Integrity, confidentiality and professionalism; and
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office).
Responsibilities include:-
- Drafting and reviewing agreements and other documents with the assistance of senior lawyers;
- Undertaking legal research;
- Drafting and reviewing company resolutions;
- Drafting court petitions/applications pursuant to the Companies Law Cap.113 with the assistance of senior lawyers;
- Liaising with local authorities, in all districts, such as the land registry office, tax department, Migration Department, Ministry of Interior and the Cyprus Registrar of Companies, as might be required from time to time;
- Carrying out compliance work including the reviewing and updating of the companies’ KYC files and the corresponding software;
- Assisting the team with administrative work; and
- Assisting on the efficient management of workflow of the team.
- Knowledge of the i-justice system for the submission of corporate court applications will be considered as an advantage.
