PLATI PARPARINOS & ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified lawyer for the position of AML Compliance officer to join our expanding team of professionals, based in Nicosia.

 

THE POSITION

The successful candidate, amongst other, will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Support, develop and update the Company’s internal policies related to money laundering and terrorist financing prevention (AML/CTF) and international sanctions policy ensuring continued compliance.
  • Perform KYC/CDD Reviews for new and existing clients of all AML Classification risks (Low – Medium – High).
  • Execute transaction monitoring in accordance with the internal policies and procedures.
  • Organize the implementation of AML/CTF measures and international sanctions policies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, monitoring and verifying on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide support, training and guidance to the rest of the Team on any matters related to AML/KYC/CDD framework as required by law and internal policies.
  • Submit reports to the management and Competent Authorities as required by law and internal policies
  • Handle compliance related requests, client’s complaints, requests from regulatory authorities related to AML matters.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association for at least 2 years.
  • 1 year of related experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Corporate and GDPR principles will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (Written & Spoken).
  • Legal research skills and ability to use critical judgment.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Interested in working as part of a dedicated team.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • High professional standards and work ethics.

REMUNERATION

A very competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, depending on qualifications and experience.
